Early Childhood Education Center Kitchen Assistant
Help in the kitchen setting up for meal times at our Early Childhood Education Center, a preschool for limited income families serving children ages 3 to 5.Volunteers will work with the Kitchen Coordinator to prep (warm up food), serve, and clean up for every meal and snack served on site. All meals are brought pre-prepared from Volunteers of America's main kitchen. Children receive breakfast, lunch and snack during the school day.
Foster Grandparent Program
Foster Grandparents are 55 or older, live on fixed incomes and enjoy working with children. Foster Grandparents volunteer in in Early Childhood Education, elementary schools, Boys and Girls Clubs, and other youth facilities.The Foster Grandparent Program focuses on literacy (pre-reading and reading skills) and numeracy (pre-math and math skills) for children from 6 weeks to 12 years old.
