FOOD RESCUE US- South Florida Food Rescue Volunteer

Food Rescue US is a leader in reducing both hunger and food waste in America by transforming a negative, food waste, into a positive, delivering fresh, healthy food to millions of people through our community of dedicated volunteer food rescuers. Food rescuers pick-up excess food from local food donors, including grocery stores, restaurants, corporate dining facilities, and other food providers, and deliver it to local social service agencies providing for the food insecure. Rescuers use their own vehicles and select times that are convenient for them to pick-up and drop-off the excess food. The process is quick, simple, and incredibly rewarding.

The Miami/Ft. Lauderdale MORE THAN PINK Walk is made possible by our amazing team of volunteers. Leading up to the event and on Saturday, October 14, 2023, there are plenty of ways you can join in and lend a hand to make this breast cancer walk a success.

 URBAN PARADISE GUILD- Saturdays 'Mariposas in Hialeah' Project - UPG Amelia Gardens Lab

Join us every Saturday, 8:00 am to 11:00 am for a morning of environmental action and community building at Mariposas in Hialeah! As stewards of change, we'll be working on various projects, both within and beyond the vast 500+ acre Amelia Earhart County Park.

Our Amelia Garden Center serves as both a Living lab for sustainable micro agriculture & Native Nursery that supplies selected species for many of our Butterfly Habitat Projects. (Limited) Garden Beds available for adoption!
