FOOD RESCUE US- New Orleans Food Rescue Volunteer
Food Rescue US is a leader in reducing both hunger and food waste in America by transforming a negative, food waste, into a positive, delivering fresh, healthy food to millions of people through our community of dedicated volunteer food rescuers. Food rescuers pick-up excess food from local food donors, including grocery stores, restaurants, corporate dining facilities, and other food providers, and deliver it to local social service agencies providing for the food insecure. Rescuers use their own vehicles and select times that are convenient for them to pick-up and drop-off the excess food. The process is quick, simple, and incredibly rewarding. THE NATIONAL WWII MUSEUM- Museum Volunteer
Volunteers Can Do It! Thank you for your interest in volunteering at The National WWII Museum. Our Volunteers are the Museum’s ambassadors, representatives, and hosts to our many visitors from all over the country and around the world. They are greeters, aides, docents, office helpers, boat and vehicle restorers; students, workers, professionals, retirees; they are active in their communities, schools, cities, and families. Volunteers help keep the day-to-day operations of the Museum running smoothly.

LOWERNINE.ORG- Food Pantry Volunteer
Provide food security to Orleans Parish residents, particularly those in the Lower Ninth Ward. Help our clients put together boxes of groceries for the week as well as distribute fresh produce that we receive on a weekly basis.
Shift is from 9:00am till 2:00pm. The address is 1739 Jourdan Avenue. Bring water and snacks if you need them - there's no defined break in the day, but we definitely want you to stay hydrated and happy!
Please also wear closed-toe shoes. Your tasks might include stocking shelves, moving boxes of food products, and helping clients to "shop" for groceries.
