AMERICAN RED CROSS - GEORGIA REGION - Disaster Action Team Member - Chatham County

The American Red Cross brings light to one of the darkest times that any family will endure.

Disaster Action Teams (DAT) provide 24-hour emergency response to local disasters, particularly house fires, ensuring that those affected have access to resources for basic necessities such as food, shelter and clothing.

We are looking for compassionate individuals that want to help families that are affected by disasters of all sizes, from home fires to hurricanes. The bulk of our responses are home fires, which we respond to on average of 12 per day across the state of Georgia. We need people who are patient and are good listeners.

Do you have a passion for making a live-saving impact? The American Heart Association is looking for volunteers for the 2024 Southern Coast Heart Ball on March 29th, 2024, at the Marriott Savannah Riverfront. The Heart Ball is a unique event designed to celebrate the success of our year-round efforts towards the fight against cardiovascular disease, and honor those who help us attain these transformational goals. The resources raised at this event will fund educational programs, lifesaving research and assist in raising awareness of the impact of cardiovascular disease and stroke.
