The James Macready-Bryan (JMB) Foundation-Melbourne Marathon Volunteers needed
On his 20th birthday in 2006, James Macready-Bryan’s life was changed forever when he was violently assaulted in Melbourne. An act of senseless violence caused catastrophic brain injury and left James with profound and permanent disabilities. James now requires 24 hour specialist care and lives in age-appropriate accommodation, unable to walk, unable to eat, unable to speak. The JMB Foundation was established soon after to raise funds to help meet the cost of care for James, and now, more than 15 years on, JMB also helps many other young Australians living with acquired brain injury. JMB Foundation is an official charity partner with the Nike Melbourne Marathon Festival and provides volunteers to help manage the event.
