PEOPLE SERVING PEOPLE INC CHARITIES- Afternoon K12 Program Volunteer (18+)

Volunteers work one-on-one or in small groups supporting teachers in the K12 program as they lead activities for kids ages 5-18 (majority 5-12) and provide general classroom support. During the school year, K12 programing focuses on assisting in schoolwork and socializing in a safe environment after school. Summertime programming in K12 focuses more on social and emotional learning than on academic learning unless specifically requested by parents, so volunteers will primarily be expected to casually play with/spend time with kids and keep them engaged in activities in the classroom. Effective K12 volunteers will be patient and comfortable in an unstructured classroom environment, proactive about engaging with kids and drawing them into activities (rather than staying on the sidelines/waiting for kids to come to them). Shifts are available Monday through Friday, 2pm-6pm, with opportunities for partial shifts.

A dynamic volunteer program at Mount Olivet Home, Mount Olivet Careview Home and Mount Olivet Day Services exists to enhance the lives of our residents and participants. By sharing their time and energy, volunteers promote awareness, help meet human needs, and create bonds with the residents. AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY- Volunteer

Volunteer to help get cancer patients to treatment. For people with cancer who have no way of getting to treatment, our Road To Recovery® program is there to help. We need volunteers to help cancer patients get the treatment they need. Unfortunately, we don't always have enough drivers to help everyone who needs a ride. You can change that.
