Compassion for Migrant Children
builds community centers in the hearts of migrant areas in Beijing. They offer various social and education programs for the children of migrant workers and are always looking for passionate volunteers to dedicate a few hours a week teaching and playing games with the kids. They have a number of volunteering programs to choose from, such as an After School Program for helping children with homework and taking part in fun activities.

Diffusing nervous energy, laughter acts as a safety value blowing off some of the steam of stress. Medical procedures and hospital stays are overwhelming at any age. Being sent from provinces all over China, far away from home, limited visiting hours make the interaction for the children even more significant. Factor in the childhood confusion of being separated from your family and friends and you’ll recognize the need for a little positive intervention.
